Hello. This week we started the summer learning journey and it was about setting sale and we had to write down 10 foods that we have to take on a 3 week holiday with Nainoa. This is my work and I hope you enjoy.
I am Kueni and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer working with the Ako Hiko cluster. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next few weeks!
I enjoyed reading about your 10 food items that you would bring on your ocean voyage with Nainoa. Ka pai and fantastic work on your poster and all the pictures included, it is so eye catching! Did you know that Nainoa was the very first Polynesian to ever practice the art of wayfinding on long distance ocean voyages? So he is a pretty impressive man!
I really like that you have gone above and beyond and included things that you would “actually need” on a trip like this too, which would also be super handy on a 3 week ocean voyage. You would be super prepared if you were called up to go sailing adventure, much like Nainoa. Have you ever been on something similar to the boats/ canoes that people such as Nainoa travelled on during his voyage?
I look forward to reading more of your blog posts and hope you stay on with us this summer :)
Thank you Kueni for your kind comment. I have not done the summer learning Journey before but I am enjoying it so far. I have not beeen on a canoe like Nainoa because my sister will get sea sick very easily.
